PHP DEVELOPER

Our Savings Manager application is continuously evolving, and in order to continue to develop at the pace we would like, we are looking to expand our development team by recruiting an experienced PHP developer.

 

Reporting to the Technology Director, the PHP Developer role will include the following accountabilities:

 

  • Product Development: Developing new features for current applications and development of any new applications.

  • Application Maintenance: Ongoing development & maintenance of existing applications resolving both internal & client queries in a timely and professional manner.

  • Assisting the Technology Director as appropriate in the rollout and ongoing management of our technology service offering with our clients.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

 

Education

  • Ideally good A level Maths or equivalent.

  • Ideally strong numerate degree level in IT, Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent analytical discipline.

 

Experience

  • Must have strong OOP skills and experience with PHP 7.1+

  • Web development skills (javascript, html, css)

  • Understanding and experience of TDD would be an advantage

  • Experience with MySQL 5.7+

  • Experience using Git version control

  • Experience with Laravel 5.8+ would be an advantage

  • Experience with Vue 2 would be an advantage

CUSTOMER EXCELLENCE MANAGER

At Provalido we like to ensure our customers are getting the most from our Savings Manager. We encourage best practise within savings reporting and need to be attentive to the evolving needs our customers have as markets and processes change. We are looking for an experienced procurement professional to work with our customers.

 

Reporting to the Managing Director, the Customer Excellence Manager role will include the following responsibilities:

 

  • Account Management: Being the main contact for many of our customers, liaising with them regularly and conducting regular reviews to ensure they are utilising our application in the best way and gathering any feedback they have that might help our future development.

  • Implementation: Getting up and running with our application is relatively easy, but customers may require guidance in the first few weeks, and we always configure the system so that it is optimised for their processes and reporting needs. This involves cleansing data received from the customers and manipulating it into files ready for upload into our system, as well as training sessions (usually web based) as required.

  • General Support: Depending on skills and preference this role may also be involved with marketing, events, customer support, etc. as required by the business.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

 

Education

  • Degree level, ideall in a relevant subject.

  • MCIPS would be an advantage, but not essential.

 

Experience

  • At least 5 years’ experience in a professional procurement environment.

  • Involvement in savings reporting.

 

Key Skills

  • Great written and verbal communication skills and the ability to present to and interact with senior management / directors at our customers.

  • A passion for good procurement.

  • Advanced Excel user with the ability to understand and clean/manipulate data.

  • A foreign language (Spanish, French or German) would be useful, but not essential.

  • The maturity, self-motivation and genuine desire to work from home.
